Weather Pingo (the other name IBP Pingo) was one of the famous research pingo in 1980s. The entire core sample is still preserved in New Hampshire. Recently, I got stable isotope results from this ice core, which is very interesting signals containing. However, whole this summer long I cannot conform this location. I asked this location to key persons during drilling campaign in 1983. There are some miss match for conformations such as the shape of pingo, size of pipe remain, location of the pad (access to the pingo) or standing water location.
As result, this is weather pingo, that next of “new” gravel pad!
You can see old gravel pad in Google Earth(north of pingo). This old gravel pad does not have gravel anymore, but has contrast damaged ice wedge polygons. The pipe diameter, old bigger pipe is hiding underground! So now, everybody agree this as Weather Pingo! and new pad made new standing water pattern!
